The ‘Judith Hindle’ cultivar was bred here in the UK in 1985, and has since become a much-coveted classic! Created by Alan Hindle and named after his wife by Peter D’Amato of California Carnivores, the plants pitchers start out light green with red and white streaks, but soon transition to a deep red with ruffled pink and white lids.
Real Sarracenia connoisseurs will know the parents of this cross were two separate clones of S. (p x f) x l. But even if you’re just getting started with carnivorous plants, this plant can be the centerpiece of any collection. It’s a reliable, easy grower and has stunning pitchers. You can learn more about cultivation in my free Sarracenia Growing Guide.
The plants I have for sale are healthy and established, and are sent potted. See delivery information.
