Drosera scorpioides - known as the Shaggy sundew - is one of the largest pygmy sundews. It hails from Western Australia and produces oval-shaped leaves with extremely long tentacles! Over time it will form a ‘stem’ of old growth, topped by an attractive rosette of sticky leaves. As with most pygmy sundews, this species will produces gemmae in the Autumn and these can be used to propagate more plants. Learn more about pygmy sundews over at the ICPS.
This species enjoys full sun and can be grown indoors year-round, with or without a terrarium. Simply place the pot in a tray of water on a sunny windowsill or in a convervatory. Keep the sundew well watered. The plants I’m selling here are healthy and established, and are sent potted in appropriate soil. See delivery information.
