Now Live: Online Shop
It’s been a long time coming, but I’m very pleased to announce that my online shop is finally ready to launch. You can now buy carnivorous plants online right here on Tom’s Carnivores.
Head to the shop, and you’ll be able to browse and order a selection of Nepenthes species and hybrids that I have for sale. These are primarily seed-grown plants from Christian Klein, but I’ll also have a few cuttings and duplicates from my own collection for sale too. Stocks are very limited, so head to the shop to see what I have on offer!

Starting my own nursery has been a dream of mine since I first seriously started growing carnivorous plants. While I’m not there yet - running this shop is a side project alongside my day job! - I’m excited to be in a position to start selling plants outside my immediate circle of ‘plant friends’. Selling plants will also help to support the running of this website, which has become considerably more expensive and time-consuming since I started it in 2017.
I should also mention that this definitely doesn’t spell the end of the blog - I plan to continue publishing interviews, guides, and FAQs for as long as people keep reading them! In fact, I have several new articles in the works which I’m really excited about, and which you can expect to read in the coming weeks.

The shop will accept payment via all major credit cards, as well as PayPal. Please note that delivery is currently limited to UK and parts of the EU. I hope that the political situation will improve so I can expand this further (I’m not mentioning the B-word here…).
I’ll be adding new plants to the shop fairly frequently. If you’re already a subscriber to my email newsletter you won’t automatically be notified when this happens (I have hundreds of subscribers outside the UK to whom this won’t be relevant). If you’re interested in being notified when I list new plants, you can opt-in by clicking the button in the email I sent out earlier today. If you’re not yet a subscriber, just fill in the form at the bottom of this post.
If you have any feedback on the buying experience having tested it tomorrow, I’d love to hear it. I’m a web developer by trade, and - as my wife will testify - a lot of blood, sweat, and tears has gone into building this shop over the last few months! Ideas for how to improve it further are hugely appreciated.
Finally, the first few large orders may also get a free plant, while stocks last. 😊🌱
Thanks for supporting Tom’s Carnivores, and happy growing.
I've been growing carnivorous plants for over 2 decades, having been fascinated by these plants since I got my first Venus flytrap at age 10. I now have a large greenhouse to house my collection, and sell a variety of carnivorous plants on my shop.
